Note: Was in the lineup on the losing end of both nine-inning perfect games in the PCL's 101-year history (Tacoma's John Halama on July 7, 2001 vs. Calgary & Nashville's John Wasdin on April 7, 2003 vs. Albuquerque).

2008: Released by the Diamondbacks around March 24...retired.

2007: Re-signed with the Diamondbacks organization in January...hit .375 (3-8) with 2 runs and 1 double in 3 major league spring training games...wore number 6 with the Tucson Sidewinders (AAA)...hit a two-run walk-off homerun in the 10th inning on May 1...played in his 1,000th game on May 9...put on the DL on May 22 (sprained left index finger)...activated on July 12...got his 200th career double on July 25...got his 1,000th career hit on August 5...had a season long hit streak of 18 games (24-60)...Hogs in the Minors Player of the Week one time.

2006: Went to spring training with the Arizona Diamondbacks...hit .200 (1-5) with 1 double in 6 major league spring training games...wore number 17 with the Tucson Sidewinders (AAA)...pitched in a game for the first time since high school on April 15 and retired the only batter he faced...got his 900th career minor league hit on April 28...played in his 900th career game and got his 3,000th career at-bat on May 15...got his 400th career walk on May 27...scored his 500th career run on September 4...had 10 pinch hits during the regular season...won the Pacific Coast League Championship....won the Bricktown Showdown (AAA Championship game) on September 19...Hogs in the Minors Player of the Week one time...a free agent after the season.

2005: Assigned to the Milwaukee minor league camp on March 18...was 1-12 at the plate in 8 games in major league spring trainings with the Brewers...wore number 8 with the Nashville Sounds (AAA)... limited early in the season by patellar tendinitis in his right knee...placed on the DL on May 31 (retroactive to May 29) with right knee tendinitis...activated from the DL on June 10...released by Nashville on June 23...signed with the Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA - Marlins organization) on August 6...wore number 5 with Albuquerque...placed on the DL on August 15...activated from the DL on August 26...a free agent after the season.

2004: Went to major league spring training with Milwaukee...assigned to Milwaukee's minor league camp on March 30...batted .324 (11-34) with two doubles and six RBI in 20 major league spring training games...wore number 3 with the Indianapolis Indians...played his 800th career minor league game on July 7...promoted to the Milwaukee Brewers on July 9...made his major league debut the same day...wore number 8 with Milwaukee...sent down to Indianapolis on July 18...got his 300th career minor league RBI on July 30...was awarded the Hustle Award by the Indianapolis Indians on September 4...Hogs in the Minors Player of the Week two times...was outrighted to Indianapolis by Milwaukee on September 23, taking him off their 40-man roster...signed a minor league contract with Milwaukee on October 27.

2003: Wore number 6 with the Albuquerque Isotopes...recorded the first hit in team history in the opener at Memphis on April 3...hit a grounder to right field in the bottom of the first inning on April 11 for the first hit in Albuquerque's new park...placed on the DL (hip pointer) on May 12...activated from the DL on May 21...Hogs in the Minors Player of the Week four times...became a six-year free agent after the season...played for the Hermosillo Orange Growers of the Mexican Pacific League during the winter...left Hermosillo in late October...signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on December 19.

2002: Was invited to spring training with the Marlins...wore number 11 with Calgary...Story: Matt at Bat...won the Fan Favorite award when the Cannons announced their end of season awards on September 2...went 5-6 with four doubles, three runs scored and two RBI in the last game in Calgary history (Sept. 2)...had the last hit and scored the last run in Calgary history on September 2...Hogs in the Minors Player of the Week two times.

2001: Wore number 3 with Calgary...Story: Erickson Loves His Home Town...Story: Matt the Magic Man...Story: Cold Shoulder, Hot Bat...Story: Erickson fundamentally in line for majors...was one of the 24 players selected to represent the U.S. at the 2001 World Cup in Taipei, Taiwan on Nov. 6-18...won the Silver Medal as a member of the World Cup team...led the World Cup team with a .455 batting average.

1998: Matt was named to the class A Midwest League All-Star team...Midwest League Hitter of the Week for May 24-30...Topps/NAPBL Midwest League Player of the Month for June...Led Marlins Organization in Batting Average (.324)...named the best defensive third baseman in the Midwest League by Baseball America...played for Sun Cities in the Arizona Fall League.

1997: Drafted in the 7th round by the Florida Marlins...led the New York-Pennsylvania League in on-base average.

College: Matt is the career batting average leader at Arkansas. He hit .377 from 1995-97...is third in career hits with 260....was second team All-SEC third baseman in 1996 and first team in 1997.

1997: Matt led the SEC in doubles with 27 for Arkansas...batted .398 at Arkansas which is third on the all-time list...had 94 hits, second on the single season list...5th hardest to strike out (23.6AB/SO) in NCAA...New York-Penn League Leader in On-Base Percentage (.455), 3B Fielding Percentage (.942), and 3B Assists (140).

1996: Matt holds the Razorback record for most hits in a season. He had 97 in 1996...batted .391 at Arkansas, seventh on the single season list all-time...set the single season record for singles with 68...3rd best Batting Average (.391) in Southeastern Conference

1995: Was a Freshman All-American at Arkansas.
