2005: The San Angelo Colts (Central league) purchased Brian's contract from Ohio Valley of the Frontier League on January 14...signed with San Angelo on January 25...San Angelo sold his contract to the Colorado Rockies on February 22....promoted to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (AAA) on June 4...sent back to E.S.T. on June 7...assigned to Tri-City (A) on June 13...wore number 16 with Tri-City...threw out 11 of 31 attempted base stealers (incomplete numbers) and had five passed balls at Tri-City.

2004: Released by the Indians organization in April, right before the season started...signed with the Springfield/Ozark Ducks of the independent Frontier League on May 20...wore number 9 with S/O...got his 100th career RBI on May 29...News Story: Kirby prolongs playing career with Ducks...played his 200th career game on June 29...named to the Frontier League All-Star team on July 7...Hogs in the Minors Player of the Week two times.

2003: Wore number 12 with the Kinston Indians...sent down from Kinston (A) to Lake County (A) on July 3...wore number 36 with Lake County...promoted to Kinston on August 1...put on the DL on August 25...transferred to Akron on November 20.

2001: Drafted with the 937th pick (31st round) by the Cleveland Indians...got his first professional hit, a two run double, in his second game. He followed that up with a triple in his next at bat on 6/20...hit his first professional home run on 6/21...was promoted from Burlington (R) to Mahoning Valley (A) on July 20.

College: Four year letterman at the University of Arkansas (1998-2001)...played outfield all four years before moving to catcher for the last part of his senior year...named a Freshman All-American Second Team by The Sporting News in 1998...named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball in 1998...member of the 2000 & 2001 SEC Academic Honor Rolls...leaves the UA as the all-time leader in strikeouts (224)...ranks 7th all-time at the UA in total bases for his career (388)...tied for fourth all-time for doubles in his career (58)...3rd all-time in home runs in his career (39)...6th all-time in RBIs in his career (165)...played for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod league during the summer of 1999.
