2003: Signed with the Rockford RiverHawks of the independent
Frontier League on February 28...wore number 18 with Rockford...released
on July 30.
2002: Was placed on the Voluntary Retired List by
the Marlins on March 25...assigned to Kane County from extended
spring training on May 9...wore number 46 with Kane County...was

2001: Wes made his professional debut pitching four
relief innings, allowing no hits or runs, walking none and striking
out two on June 20...picked up his first professional win on
August 12 by pitching six innings and giving up one run. He beat
Mahoning Valley, the team Brian Kirby plays for, 13-3.
College: Four year letterman at the University
of Arkansas (1998-2001)...was a pitcher/first baseman all four
years...member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 1999, 2000 &
2001...ranks third in pitching appearances all-time at the UofA...wore
number 17 at Arkansas.
Personal: Twin brother, Wil, is a pitcher in
the Dodgers organization.
