Les Lancaster -- Pitching Coach, Lakewood Blueclaws (A-) -- Philadelphia Phillies
(as of baseball season 2012) Les Lancaster was named the pitching coach for the Gulf
Coast Phillies (R) in November 2010 and promoted to Lakewood (SAL, A-)
on November 21, 2011. Previously he was named the manager of the
independent Sioux City Explorers (All-American League) on November 19,
2007.
Lancaster came to the X's with impressive credentials after spending the
past three seasons in the Golden Baseball League. While in the Golden
League, Lancaster made the playoffs two out the three seasons and won a
league championship in 2006 with the Reno Silver Sox. Prior to the
Golden League, Les managed Adirondack (1999 & 2000) and Lincoln
(2001 & 2002) of the Northern League and Coastal Bend (2003) from
the Central League. In addition to his championship in 2006, Lancaster
also led Adirondack to a championship in 2000 and has made the playoffs
in 6 of the 8 seasons he has been a field manager. Les also received
managerial honors by being named Independent League Manager of the Year
in 2000 and Golden League Manager of the Year in 2006.
A prep star in Nimitz High School in Irving, TX in the early '80's,
Lancaster played one year at Dallas Baptist College before transferring
to the University of Arkansas where he spent three seasons with the Razorbacks.
David Lee --
Quarterbacks Coach, Buffalo Bills
(as of football season 2012) David Lee was named the
quarterbacks coach for the Buffalo Bills on January 13, 2012. He spent
the previous season on the Ole Miss football staff as offensive
coordinator and quarterbacks coach..
That marked Lee’s second term on the Ole Miss coaching staff, as he was
the Rebels’ quarterbacks coach from 1978-82. Under head coach Steve
Sloan.
Lee reunited with Nutt for the third time in his coaching career, having
twice served on his staffs at Arkansas,
most recently in 2007 when the team advanced to a Cotton Bowl berth in
Nutt’s final season in Fayetteville. Lee spent the past three seasons in
the NFL as the Miami Dolphins’ quarterbacks coach and played a vital
role in reintroducing and transforming the Wildcat offense at the pro
level.
As offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2007, Lee presided
over a Razorbacks offense that averaged
38.8 points per game and 457.4 yards per contest in the regular season,
figures that ranked 12th and 18th nationally, respectively, and were
school records. The running game in 2007 ranked fourth nationally, while
as a team, Arkansas threw 24 touchdown
passes and only 10 interceptions.
Nutt also hired Lee as his quarterbacks coach in 2001, where he spent
two seasons and contributed to a team that won the 2002 SEC Western
Division Championship and advanced to the SEC Championship Game.
Lee left Arkansas to join the NFL's Dallas
Cowboys, where he helped develop Tony Romo from an undrafted college
free agent in 2003 to a Pro Bowl selection in 2006. In Lee’s four years
in Dallas, three different Cowboys signal-callers threw for 3,000 yards
in a single season.
The 35-year coaching veteran served seven seasons at Rice University
(1994-2000) as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
From 1989-93, he was the head coach at Texas-El Paso before moving on to
Rice as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 1994.
Lee’s first stint with Arkansas was during
a successful run in the late 1980s. As UA’s
quarterbacks coach, Lee helped direct Razorback
teams that sported a 45-15-1 record with five consecutive bowl
appearances.
Included in that run was the 1986 season in which Arkansas
quarterbacks threw just two interceptions (a SWC record) while helping
the Hogs to a 10-2 record and an Orange
Bowl appearance.
Promoted to offensive coordinator in 1988, Lee helped engineer the Hogs’ first Southwest Conference championship
in nine years and first outright league title since 1965. The 1988
offensive unit committed just 11 turnovers in 11 games and led the
nation in turnover ratio while featuring a pair of All-SWC sophomores,
quarterback Quinn Grovey and fullback Barry Foster.
Lee began his coaching career in 1975 at Tennessee-Martin where he
tutored quarterbacks and receivers for two seasons while organizing the
first Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter in the school’s history.
He spent the 1977 season as quarterbacks coach at his alma mater
Vanderbilt before his first tenure at Ole Miss. In 1983, Lee served as
offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at New Mexico.
A three-year letterman at Vanderbilt, Lee served as team captain and was
named the team’s most valuable player in 1974 after quarterbacking the
Commodores to a 7-3-2 record, including a 24-10 upset of No. 5 Florida.
Lee was voted SEC Player of the Week by the Associated Press after
leading Vanderbilt to its first win over the Gators in 15 years.
Lee went on to lead the SEC in passing and guided his team to a 6-6 tie
with Texas Tech in the Peach Bowl.
A native of Dexter, Mo., Lee prepped at Woodham High School in
Pensacola, Fla., where he graduated in 1971. Lee earned an undergraduate
degree in history from Vanderbilt in 1975.
Ryan Lennerton -- Student Assistant Baseball Coach, Wayne State College Wildcats
(as of baseball season 2012) Ryan Lennerton is in his
first season ('08) on the Wayne State College baseball coaching staff
and will work with pitchers. Lennerton spent the 2007 season as pitching
coach at Galveston College in Galveston, Texas. Prior to that, he served
as head coach of the U16 Langley British Columbia Blaze Team and served
as pitching coach of the U18 Langley Blaze of the British Columbia
Premier Baseball League.
Lennerton, a native of Langley, British Columbia, played collegiate
baseball for Eastern Oklahoma State College for two years before
transferring to the University
of
Arkansas. Playing under Razorbacks head coach Dave Van
Horn, Lennerton was a member of Arkansas' 2004 team that reached the College World Series that also
captured the 2004 Southeastern Conference Championship. He was drafted
by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2001 (24th round) and 2002 (42nd round).
Lennerton is pursuing a degree in health sciences at Wayne State
College.
Dowell Loggains -- Quarterbacks / Passing Game Coach, Tennessee Titans
(as of football season 2011) Dowell Loggains is in his first season as the quarterback/passing game coach. He spent two seasons ('08-'09) as the offensive quality control coach after spending the previous two campaigns as the team's coaching administrative assistant.
Dan Lounsbury -- Offensive Coordinator, Texas A&M University-Commerce Lions
(as of football season 2011) Dan Lounsbury comes back to Texas A&M-Commerce in 2009
after being a coach on both the professional and collegiate level. He
will serve as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at
A&M-Commerce.
After serving as a graduate assistant at A&M-Commerce, he went to
coach on the professional level, he has worked with the New York/New
Jersey Knights of the World League of American Football, the Toronto
Argonauts of the Canadian Football League and the Shreveport Knights of
the Regional Football League. In addition, on the collegiate level, he
has worked at Texas, TCU, Tulsa, Purdue, Cortland State, Southeastern
Oklahoma State and Texas A&M-Commerce.
As a position coach, he has worked with multiple parts of the offense,
including quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers.
Lounsbury was a graduate assistant at A&M-Commerce in 1979 and is
reunited with Coach Morriss, where he coached the tight ends and slots
at the University of Kentucky from 1999 to 2000.

master's degree from the University
of
Arkansas.
