Anders Akerstrom DE 6-5 275 lbs

2006: Assigned to the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL-Europe. Had 6 tackles and 1 sack for -4 yards in 6 games (1 start).

2005: Assigned to the Franfurt Galaxy (NFL-Europe) on April 27. Played in two games. Added to the New Orleans Saints practice squad on June 14 as an NFL International Development Practice Squad player.

2003: Signed with the New England Patriots on March 12. 22 tackles and 2 passes deflected in 15 games. Won Super Bowl XXXVIII.

2002: Cleveland Browns-- 27 special teams tackles and one fumble recovered in 15 games.

2001: Green Bay Packers-- cut on December 7. Claimed by the Cleveland Browns on December 10. Had 22 tackles in 15 games.

2000: Dallas Cowboys/Green Bay Packers-- waived by Dallas on October 31. Claimed off of waivers by the Packers on November 1. Played with the Rhein Fire in NFL Europe.

1999: Green Bay Packers-- drafted in the 7th round (212th selection) out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Waived by Green Bay on September 5. Signed to the Green Bay practice squad on September 14. Signed by Dallas to the active roster on October 27.

2007: Drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round (8th overall) on April 28. Signed a five-year contract ($15.361 million guaranteed) on July 26. Had 30 tackles, 4 quarterback hurries, 3 passes deflected and 1 fumble forced in 16 games started.

 

Arkansas: At Arkansas from 2004-06. Was named second team All-American in 2006 after leading the SEC (3rd in the county) with 13.5 sacks. Ranks sixth on Arkansas' career sacks list with 17.5.

2009: Philadelphia Eagles-- placed on the active/PUP list on July 30. Placed on Injured Reserve on September 15.

2008: Philadelphia Eagles-- placed on the reserve/did not report list on July 25. Transferred to the Active/PUP list on August 10. Missed time after having back surgery on October 21. Played two games.

2007: Philadelphia Eagles-- named to the AP All-Pro team on January 8. Named to the USA Today Sports Weekley All-Pro team on February 21. Named to the NFL Pro Bowl as a reserve guard for the NFC. Had 1 tackle and 1 fumble recovery in 15 games started.

2006: Philadelphia Eagles-- signed a seven-year contract extension (through 2015) on June 12. Named to the NFL Pro Bowl as a starting guard for the NFC. Started all 18 games.

2005: Philadelphia Eagles-- started all 16 games. An alternate for the NFL Pro Bowl.

2004: Drafted in the first round (16th overall) by the Philadelphia Eagles on April 24. Signed a six-year deal worth close to $10 million on July 27.
