May 29, 2001-Tulsa Talons' (af2) kicker Tony Dodson earns Co-Player of the week honors for his clutch performance on the road at Iowa. With Tulsa trailing by three points, Dodson converted a 33-yard field goal to send the game into overtime. Then, with seven minutes remaining in the overtime session, Dodson was successful again from 20-yards out to give the Talons a hard-fought three-point win. On the evening, Dodson made four out of five field goal attempts (48, 41, 33, 20). The four field goals tie him for 2nd place all-time in arenafootball2.
