'I am a 17 year old fan from Connecticut. No one else in my family is a Broncos fan and I don't have many friends that are either. Who is my favorite player ever? Not Elway, Davis, nor Sharpe. None other than Atwater. I played eight years of football (4 high school, 4 Pop Warner) and I played two years at safety, including my Freshman year. I talked about Steve Atwater so much that my nickname became Atwater, and at our end of the year celebration, my coach said he only wished I could play like him. But there was no funer player to watch and many would agree (except maybe Christian Okoye) and number 27 should be retired from the Denver Broncos.' 'I am a bears fan, but.. but.. but.. my all time favorite football player has and always will be Steve Atwater.' 'Steve Atwater is the greatest hog to grace the NFL and should take his lofty place in the NFL hall of fame sooner rather than later. Steve you are the best!' |
