I SAW MIKE CONLEY HIS SENIOR
YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL WIN THE 100, 200, LONG JUMP, AND TRIPLE JUMP
IN THE ILLINOIS STATE TRACK MEET. THE POINTS HE ACCUMULATED ALMOST
WON THE STATE TEAM TITLE. HE WON SECOND PLACE FOR HIS SCHOOL
FROM HIS EVENTS. HE LIVED 2 BLOCKS DOWN THE STREET FROM ME IN
CHICAGO. I MET HIM WHEN HE WAS A SOPHOMORE IN HIGH SCHOOL. AT
5'10 HE COULD DO ANY DUNK THAT ANYONE HAD EVER SEEN AND THAT
NEXT YEAR HE LED HIS HIGH SCHOOL TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AT
POINT GUARD. MIKE COULD HAVE PLAYED ANY SPORT. HE IS THE GREATEST
