12/21/09: Andy Wilkins was named to the Louisville Slugger Pre-Season All-American Third Team.

12/19/09: Arkansas was ranked #23 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Preseason Poll.

12/18/09: Arkansas was ranked #11 in the Ping! Baseball Preseason Poll.

10/21/09: Black beat Cardinal 9-3 and won the Fall World Series three games to one. Derrick Bleeker paced the offense for Black, going 2-4 with a triple, a homerun and three RBI.

10/18/09: Black beat Cardinal 6-0 to take a two games to one lead in the best of five FWS. DJ Baxendale carried Black to the win, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out seven in 7.1 scoreless innings.

10/17/09: Cardinal took game two of the FWS 9-4 to even the series at one. James McCann (2-5, 2 doubles, 5 RBI) and Jarrod McKinney (2-5, homerun, 3 RBI) led the way for Cardinal. Derrick Bleeker hit his second homerun for Black.

10/16/09: Black beat Cardinal 6-4 to win game one of the Fall World Series. Black got homeruns from Matt Reynolds (3-4), Travis Sample (2 RBI) and Derrick Bleeker (2 RBI).

9/18/09: The Arkansas recruiting class was ranked #39 in the country and #10 in the SEC in Collegiate Baseball's 2009 Recruiting Rankings.

9/1/09: Zack Cox (#2) and Brett Eibner (#11) were ranked among the Baseball America Top 30 Cape Cod League Prospects.

8/28/09: Drew Smyly was #9 on the PGCrossChecker Top 40 Northwoods League Prospects list. Mike Bolsinger was #7 on the PGCrossChecker Top 25 Texas League Prospects list and #9 on the Baseball America Top 10 for the TCBL.

8/27/09: Zack Cox (#6) and Brett Eibner (#18) were ranked among the PGCrossChecker Top 100 Cape Cod League Prospects.

8/26/09: Andy Wilkins (#19) was ranked in Baseball America's list of the Top 20 Prospects from Team USA.

8/17/09: Zack Cox (Utility Infielder) was named to the Cape Cod All-League Team.

8/10/09: Zack Cox (#20), Brett Eibner (#34) and Andy Wilkins (#47) were ranked among the Top 250 Prospects for the 2010 Draft by PGCrossChecker.

7/23/09: Zack Cox was named the West MVP in the Cape League All-Star game after going 2-2 with one run, one triple and two RBI.

7/16/09: Zack Cox was named a starter for the West Division in the 2009 Cape Cod All-Star game to be played at Fenway Park in Boston. Brett Eibner was selected for the Home Run Hitting Contest.

6/24/09: Andy Wilkins was named to the USA National Team!

6/22/09: Andy Wilkins has been invited to the USA Baseball National Team Trials.

6/11/09: Two Hogs were taken on the third day of the MLB Draft: Mike Bolsinger (33rd round, 993rd overall to Oakland) and Ryan Cisterna (34th round, 1,041st to the LA Angels).

Arkansas signees Ben Crumpton (36th round, 1,080th to Detroit), Franco Broyles (43rd round, 1,291st to Colorado) and Josh Easley (49th round, 1,484th to the NY Mets) were also drafted.

6/10/09: Four Hogs were taken on the second day of the MLB Draft: Dallas Keuchel (7th round, 221st overall to Houston), Stephen Richards (8th round, 248th to Florida), Scott Lyons (15th round, 452nd to Kansas City) and Ben Tschepikow (17th round, 512th to Kansas City).

Arkansas signee Randall Fant (21st round, 648th to Boston) was also drafted.

6/8/09: Baseball America released their list of the Top Draft Prospects from the state of Arkansas. Dallas Keuchel (#1), Stephen Richards (#3), Mike Bolsinger (#4), Ben Tschepikow (#7), T.J. Forrest (#10), Scott Lyons (#11) and Ryan Cisterna (#15) all made the list of 15.

6/8/09: Stephen Richards (RP) was named Second Team All Ping! Baseball.

6/8/09: Zack Cox (UT) was named Second Team Freshman All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association.

6/6/09: Arkansas beat Florida State 9-8 on a walkoff two RBI double by Andrew Darr to earn a trip to the College World Series!

6/5/09: Zack Cox broke the Arkansas record for most homeruns as a freshman when he hit his 12th of the year against Florida State. Brian Kirby hit 11 in 1998.

6/3/09: Zack Cox was named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger.

5/31/09: Arkansas beat Oklahoma 11-0 to win the NCAA Norman Regional in three games. Andy Wilkins was 5-5 with four runs, two doubles, two homeruns and five RBI in the game while Drew Smyly took a no-hitter into the ninth inning. Andy Wilkins (1B / Most Outstanding Player), Zack Cox (3B), Ben Tschepikow (SS), Chase Leavitt (OF), James McCann (C) and Drew Smyly (P) were named to the All-Regional Team.

5/29/09: Andy Wilkins had 20 putouts in Arkansas' win over Washington State, breaking the UA record of 19 held by Dave Patterson and set in 1986.

5/25/09: The Hogs were selected for the Norman, Oklahoma regional as the two seed along with one seed Oklahoma, three seed Washington State and four seed Wichita State.

5/24/09: Bo Bigham (2B), Zack Cox (3B) and Ben Tschepikow (SS) were named to the SEC All-Tournament Team.

5/19/09: Ben Tschepikow was named to the 2009 SEC Baseball Community Service Team.

5/16/09: Arkansas finished the regular season with new records for tickets sold (269,216) and actual attendance (173,946).

5/16/09: Arkansas lost to Ole Miss in the 3,000th recorded game in Razorback history. Their all-time record is 1,820-1,174-6.

4/20/09: Brett Eibner was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week and a Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week.

4/19/09: Brett Eibner threw a complete game one-hitter in a 2-0 victory at Georgia. It was the first complete game shutout since Nick Schmidt on May 23, 2007 and the first one-hitter since Richie Nye on March 29, 1996. His 12 strikeouts were the most by a Hog since Jess Todd struck out 17 on May 23, 2007.

4/8/09: The Arkansas attendance records for a single game and a midweek series were broken when the Hogs hosted #1 Arizona State. 11,434 tickets were sold and 11,014 were in attendance for the second game of the series which saw 17,300 fans and 19,776 tickets sold.

4/6/09: The Hogs were ranked number one in the country for the first time in program history.

3/16/09: Collin Kuhn was named the SEC Freshman of the Week. He batted .353 in four games.

3/10/09: Chase Leavitt was named to the College Baseball Foundation Nation All-Star Lineup after going 9-12 (.750) against Cal.

3/9/09: Chase Leavitt was named the SEC Player of the Week. He reached base in 14 of his 17 plate appearances during the Cal series, including 11 in a row at one point.

3/8/09: Arkansas drew 21,429 fans for the Cal series and sold 25,529 tickets, both school records for a non-conference series.

3/8/09: The Hogs played their 400th game in Baum Stadium. They hold a 281-119 record.

2/16/09: SEBaseball picked the Hogs to finish fourth in the SEC West and named Chase Leavitt (2nd team) preseason All-SEC. Zack Cox was named the #1 Newcomer in the SEC.

2/13/09: Two former Hogs are on the 2009 College Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot: Norm DeBriyn and Kevin McReynolds.

2/11/09: Baseball America picked the Hogs to finish fourth in the SEC West, named Zack Cox #4 on their Top Newcomers list and projected Brett Eibner as the #5 SEC prospect for the 2010 draft.

2/11/09: The Hogs were ranked #28 on the PGCrosschecker Preseason Top 100.

1/21/09: Rivals.com picked the Hogs to finish fourth in the SEC West and named Chase Leavitt (OF) preseason All-SEC.
