He will begin at extended spring training in order to work back from the injury. 12-12-04: Dan was released by the White Sox. 6-1-04: Injury update: Dan had reconstructive elbow surgery and is not expected to pitch for the next 18 months. 5-23-04: Injury update: After an examination on 5/20 by Dr. James Andrews, it was decided that Dan Wright will have his condition re-evaluated in two weeks. 5-20-04: Injury update: Initial results from Dan's MRI earlier this week revealed that the right-hander might not pitch for a while. Not only was shoulder damage apparently found, but there likely is elbow ligament damage. The worst-case scenario has Wright on the shelf for up to two years while recovering from multiple surgeries. 5-15-04: Dan was placed on the DL by Charlotte. 5-1-04: Dan was demoted to Charlotte (AAA) after his start. 5-1-04: Dan gave up a homerun to Toronto's Eric Hinske, his former teammate at Arkansas. 4-4-04: Dan finished spring training 3-0 with a 4.12 ERA in five games.
