September 26, 2002:

--- Chicago's Keith Foulke earned his 11th save of the season and 100th of his career, tossing a perfect ninth to extend his scoreless streak to 15 straight innings.

 

September 14, 2002:

--- New York's Roger Clemens lost for just the second time in 21 decisions at Yankee Stadium in the last two years and the first time this year.

--- Clemens reached 3,900 strikeouts for his career with six in this game.

--- Dan beat the Yankees for the first time. He was 0-2 with a 14.04 ERA in his first two games against New York.

 

September 4, 2002:

--- With Dan's game against Toronto he has now pitched against every team in the American League!

 

August 18, 2002:

--- Chicago lost for the ninth straight time in Oakland, dating back to June 30, 2000.

 

July 16, 2002:

--- Chicago's Magglio Ordonez drove in two runs for the 500 th and 501st RBI of his career.

 

June 12, 2002:

--- The first time Dan pitched against a National League team.

 

June 2, 2002:

--- Cleveland's Steve Finley struck out six to move into sole possession of 24th place on the career list with 2,492. He came in tied with Hall of Famer Don Drysdale. Christy Mathewson (2,502) is 23rd.

 

May 16, 2002:

--- Dan pitched a complete game shutout in Chicago's 4-0 win over Texas.

 

May 10, 2002:

--- Tim Salmon's double in the second inning gave him 526 extra-base hits for the Angels, tying the club record held by Brian Downing.

--- The White Sox' 19-0 loss to Anaheim was their largest losing margin in the franchise's 101-year history.

 

April 24, 2002:

--- Frank Thomas had an RBI triple in Chicago's three-run ninth. It was his first triple since Aug. 22, 1998, and only his fourth in 5,423 at-bats since 1992.
