Craig Gentry

2011
Played for the Texas Rangers, who lost the series 4-3 to St. Louis. Struck out as a pinch hitter and stayed in for defense in Game 1. Started and went 0-2 with a strikeout in Game 2. Used as a defensive replacement in Game 3 and Game 4. Pinch ran and played defense in Game 5. Started Game 6, went 1-2 with a run scored.

 

Eric Hinske

2007
Played for the Boston Red Sox, who won the series 4-0 over the Colorado Rockies. He was used as a pinch hitter for David Ortiz and went 0-1 with a strikeout in Game 1.
2008
Played for the Tampa Bay Rays, who lost the series 4-1 to the Philadelphia Phillies. Activated prior to Game 4, Eric would make his first appearance that night, hitting a pinch-hit solo homerun off of Joe Blanton in the fifth inning of a 10-2 loss. Eric made the final out of the series when he struck out as a pinch hitter against Brad Lidge in Game 5.
2009
Played for the New York Yankees, who won the series 4-2 over the Philadelphia Phillies. Appeared as a pinch-hitter in the fifth inning of Game 5, walked on five pitches and scored a run against former Razorback Cliff Lee.

 

Dick Hughes

1967
Played for the St. Louis Cardinals, who won the series 4-3 over the Boston Red Sox. He was the starting pitcher for the Cardinals in Game 2, a 5-0 loss. Dick took the loss after giving up two runs, one earned, on four hits, walking three and striking out five in 5.1 innings. He gave up a solo homerun to Carl Yastrzemski in the fourth inning. Dick also started Game 6 and took a no-decision in an 8-4 Cardinals loss. He gave up four runs on five hits, walked none and struck out two in 3.2 innings. He gave up four solo homeruns in the game, two to Rico Petrocelli, one to Carl Yastrzemski and one to Reggie Smith. Dick was also 0-2 batting in Game 2 and 0-1 in Game 6.
1968
Played for the St. Louis Cardinals, who lost the series 4-3 to the Detroit Tigers. He pitched one third of an inning in Game 6, a 13-1 loss, and gave up two hits.

 

Randy Jackson

1956
Had three pinch hit appearances, going 0-3 with two strikeouts. His Brooklyn Dodgers lost to the New York Yankees four games to three.

 

Cliff Lee

2009
Played for the Philadelphia Phillies, who lost the series 4-2 to the New York Yankees. Cliff was the starting pitcher in Game 1, a 6-1 Phillies victory. He got the win with a complete game six-hitter, allowing one unearned run, walking none and striking out ten. Cliff was also the starting and winning pitcher in Game 5, an 8-6 Phillies win. He gave up five runs on seven hits, walked three and struck out three in seven plus innings.
2010
Played for the Texas Rangers, who lost the series 4-1 to the San Francisco Giants. Cliff was the starting pitcher in Game 1, an 11-7 Rangers loss. He got the loss after giving up seven runs on eight hits, with one walk and seven strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Cliff was also the starting and losing pitcher in Game 5, a 3-1 Rangers defeat. He gave up three runs on six hits, walked none and struck out six in seven innings.

 

Tim Lollar

1984
Played for the San Diego Padres, who lost the series 4-1 to the Detroit Tigers. He was the starting pitcher for San Diego in Game 3, a 5-2 loss. Tim took the loss after giving up four runs on four hits and four walks in 1.2 innings. He gave up a two-run homerun to Marty Castillo in the first inning.

 

Tom Pagnozzi

1987
Played for the St. Louis Cardinals, who lost the series 4-3 to the Minnesota Twins. He was the starting DH in Game 1 and went 1-3. Used as a pinch hitter in Game 6 he went 0-1.

 

Drew Smyly

2012
Played for the Detroit Tigers, who were swept in four games by the San Francisco Giants. Pitched in relief in Game 2 and Game 4.
