HogNation: Did you know about the HogNation website before you received this letter/survey? If so, how?
Cody Clark: Yes. Word of mouth throughout the team. It's a nice site for Hog's baseball.
HN: What was your favorite game as a Razorback and why?
CC: Probably the Friday night game at Ole Miss my sophomore year. I got a big 2 RBI hit and we won. We turned our season around after that.
HN: What was it like being a Razorback?
CC: It was a lot of fun. I had a great time there. Lots of fond memories.
HN: Do you still follow the Hogs?
CC: Not really.
HN: What is the best thing about playing in the minor leagues?
CC: Most days we get to sleep in, that's nice.
HN: The worst thing?
CC: The travel sucks.
HN: Was it difficult to adjust to wooden bats?
CC: Yes. I had a hard time finding a bat that felt good at first.
HN: Have you played with or against any other former Hogs? If so who? What was it like?
CC: Many. Sawatski, Walker and a few more. It was fun getting to play with Gary Hogan Jr. again and Wishy, too.
HN: What did you think of Razorback fans? How do fans in the minor leagues compare?
CC: Razorback fans are great. They are very supportive and loyal. Most minor league fans are nice too. If you win they're even nicer.
HN: Where are the best and worst places you've played games in the minor leagues? Why?
CC: Worst = Clinton, Iowa. Nice people but they had a very old ballpark and the town smelt really bad due to some sort of factory.
Best = many to choose from. Rome, GA was nice. Great fans there. The best was definitely NWA though. Great fans, great ballpark and easy travel. What more could you ask for?
HN: Do you keep up with any of your former Hog teammates?
CC: Haven't talked to anyone in a while.
HN: How does each level (College, A, AA, etc) compare competitively?
CC: Players are better at each level. Unless you're ultra-talented, adjustments have to be made at each level to be successful and that takes time. Better pitching at each level is the biggest difference.
