HogNation: Did you know about the Hogs in the Minors website before you received this letter/survey? If so, how?
Brian Kirby: No.
HN: What was your favorite game as a Razorback and why?
BK: The game I hit 2 homeruns against Kentucky my freshman year to break Jeff King's freshman homerun record.
HN: What was it like being a Razorback?
BK: It made me feel good to be playing for my home state.
HN: Do you still follow the Hogs?
BK: Yes.
HN: What is the best thing about playing in the minor leagues?
BK: Playing every day.
HN: The worst thing?
BK: Long road trips.
HN: Was it difficult to adjust to wooden bats?
BK: No.
HN: Have you played with or against any other former Hogs? If so who? What was it like?
BK: Yes, Wes McCrotty, I played against him in Short Season A ball last summer. It was different being on different teams, however, I didn't play that day so I didn't face him.
HN: What did you think of Razorback fans? How do fans in the minor leagues compare?
BK: We had great fans when the weather cooperated and during SEC weekends. They don't compare to me because it is not the same since of pride that we are playing for.
HN: Where are the best and worst places you've played games in the minor leagues? Why?
BK: Best - Staten Island Yankees. Because it was right on the bay and you could see lower Manhattan right across the water.
Worst - Oneonta Tigers. It was like playing in a cow pasture.
HN: Do you keep up with any of your former Hog teammates?
BK: I try.
HN: How does each level (College, A, AA,
etc) compare competitively?
BK: The talent is not much different, but guys higher up just know how to play the game better and they are more consistent.
